Seaside Heights incorporated as a Borough in 1913 was from the beginning a seaside resort haven for vacationers. Building steadily from its inception Seaside Heights has catered to millions of visitors over the years. The completion of the Garden State Parkway in the 1950s led to unprecedented beach access to Seaside Heights and other central and southern Jersey Shore towns. The 1950s through the 1960s were known by some as the "Golden Era" of Seaside Heights and most well known memories to thousands of vacationers.

Favorable economic conditions in recent years has led to the revitalization of Seaside Heights. Many original buildings and landmarks have been demolished to be replaced with newer buildings and condominiums. This site is intended to capture and preserve some of the past.
